Abstract
An article about the ceremony on the occasion of the upbuilding of a monument to Serbian Jews who died for the freedom of Serbia in the wars from 1912 to 1918 was published in the magazine "Ratnički glasnik" in volume 11/12 from 1927. This patriotic solemn manifestation took place on October 2, 1927, at the Jewish New Cemetery in Belgrade. In addition to representatives of the government and the army, all humanitarian, educational, and cultural organizations participated in this ceremony. According to the data at the time, 132 Jews from Serbia were killed in the war, of which only 23 were transferred and buried in the warrior plot until the monument was built. In order for the memory of them to be as lasting as possible, this monument was built for them, which will testify to new generations that Serbian Jews were able to lengthen their Serbian homeland.
