In the article, I analyze Daša Drndić’s novel Sonnenschein. The basic storyline of this multifaceted novel is the main character’s affair with an SS soldier, Kurt Franz. The heroine gave birth to a son, who immediately after his birth was kidnapped by a Nazi service and given up for adoption in the project Lebensborn. Among the categories that are updated by Drndić the most important, from the standpoint of this work is an issue of shared responsibility and complicity, which the author considers not only the example of crime witnesses but also takes the next generation of descendants of Nazi victims and perpetrators perspective. When discussing the issues works by Antoni Kępiński, Maria Orwid, Małgorzata Melchior, and Viktor Frankl it turned out to be extremely valuable. Drndić, talking about the consequences of World War II is trying to sensitize the reader to such elements of the world that cannot be forgotten. Therefore, it seems that the Croatian writer’s novel suggests a reflectio...n on the well-known problems. However, the author thanks to narrative techniques and extensive formal structure, complements this issue with her interpretation.
U članku analiziram roman Daše Drndić "Sonnenschein". Osnovna priča ovog višestrukog romana je afera glavnog lika sa SS vojnikom Kurtom Francom. Heroina je rodila sina, koji je odmah po rođenju kidnapovan od strane nacističke službe i dat na usvajanje u projektu "Lebensborn". Među kategorijama koje Drndić osavremenjuje najvažnije je, sa stanovišta ovog rada, pitanje zajedničke odgovornosti i saučesništva, koje autor razmatra ne samo na primeru svedoka zločina već uzima i narednu generaciju potomaka nacističkih žrtava i perspektiva izvršilaca. Kada se raspravljalo o temama, radovi Antonija Kepinskog, Marije Orvid, Malgožate Melhior i Viktora Frankla pokazali su se izuzetno vrednim. Drndić, govoreći o posledicama Drugog svetskog rata, pokušava da senzibiliše čitaoca za takve elemente sveta koji se ne mogu zaboraviti. Stoga se čini da roman hrvatske spisateljice sugeriše promišljanje o poznatim problemima. Međutim, autorka, zahvaljujući narativnim tehnikama i obimnoj formalnoj struk...turi, svojim tumačenjem dopunjuje ovo pitanje.
