| sr |
dc.description.abstract | The book "Judaism and Human Rights" is a collection of essays published in a series of publications of the Law Center of the Open Society Fund of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This series is dedicated to the relationship of different religions to law, with special reference to human rights. Judaism, like any other religion, sets certain preconditions for the interpretation of social and legal norms, strictly following to the determinant of the Pentateuch - the Torah as the highest legal act. Through the Torah, all social relations in the Jewish world are interpreted and refracted in its light. Human rights are an integral part of the beliefs and traditions of Judaism. The belief that every human being is created like the Creator, that humanity is one family, and that every person has a duty to treat others justly, is a fundamental source of Jewish respect for human rights. | en |
