As part of the "Zoom Shabbat" activity, organized by the Jewish Community of Belgrade and the technical support of Raka-Rahamim Levi, on December 1, 2023, the guest and lecturer was Saša Brajović, art historian, full professor at the Department of Art History of the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Belgrade. The lecture was about the life and artistic work of Lujo Davič. Lujo Davičo (1908-1942) was a ballet dancer, choreographer and pedagogue, anti-fascist and participant in the National Liberation Movement. His name is well known in the cultural life of Belgrade. The first and most important ballet school founded in Yugoslavia in 1948 has been named after Lujo Davičo since 1960. But his personality, life and death were unknown and not the subject of research attention. Unlike the abundance of information that can be obtained about the "Lujo Davičo" school, those about Lujo Davičo's personality are reduced to a few sentences. The scientific monograph "Lujo Davičo: fragments of life" by Saša Brajović, published by "Clio" in 2019, changed that.sr
