"... Moses' appearance in the cultural history of the world is almost unique. Moses is not only the Liberator, the Great Prophet, the Leader and the Wise Lawgiver of Israel. With his laws and regulations, he is the founder of monotheistic religion, that, directly or indirectly, had the greatest influence on the moral and ethical-religious formation of not only the sons of Israel but also the most cultured nations of today's humanity. Moses' civil laws may not be completely original in everything, but the monotheistic idea - belief in one and only God, was consistently and systematically processed there for the first time, and his Ten Commandments were and remain the basic religious and ethical-moral code of the entire civilized world. Two later religions, Christianity and Islam, receiving the basic tenets of Moses' monotheistic teaching, expanded the ideas of his science. And even though certain rites and customs of the religion of Moses were partially changed or abolished, these two n...ew religions carried, often by force, through all five continents the laws of Moses, as a religious teaching common to almost all cultural nations: half of the human race on the whole earth received is monotheism as its cult or religion..."
